Official Rules for the Crocs Nurses Week 2023 Contest

No Purchase Necessary. A Purchase Will Not Increase Your Chances of Winning.

  1. Eligibility: The Contest is open only to legal residents of the United States who are at least eighteen (18) years old. Employees of Crocs, Inc. (“Sponsor”), as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of those employees, are not eligible to particip1,0ate.
  2. Nomination Period: The Contest begins at 10:00 AM MST on May 5, 2023 and ends at 10:00 AM MST on May 7, 2023 (the “Nomination Period”). Nominations submitted before or after the Nomination Period will not be eligible. Sponsor’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Contest.
  3. How to Nominate: You can nominate one nurse and his/her healthcare facility in the United States. To submit a nomination, visit https://www.crocs.com/nurses-nomination.html and complete the nomination form during the Nomination Period. You will be required to provide information about yourself, the nurse and healthcare facility you are nominating, and a short essay (of up to 500 characters) explaining why you think that nurse and healthcare facility should win (your “Essay”). There is a limit of one (1) nomination per person and only the first 1,000 nominations are permitted to be considered. By submitting a nomination, you indicate your full agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions regarding the Contest, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements in these Official Rules.
  4. Sponsor’s Rights to Essays: You do not transfer ownership of your Essay by entering the Contest. However, by entering, you grant Sponsor, its agents, licensees, and assigns an irrevocable, perpetual (non-exclusive) right and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, adapt, modify, create derivative works of, exhibit, and otherwise use your Essay as-is or as-edited (with or without using your name) in any media throughout the world for any purpose, without limitation, and without additional review, compensation, or approval from you.
  5. Judging: After the Nomination Period, a panel of judges selected by Sponsor will evaluate all eligible Nominations based on the following Judging Criteria: Sponsor shall assemble a nomination committee, each committee member will review an even number of nominations and will assess the nominations based on the nurse’s commitment to the community and how the nurse champions Sponsor’s “Come As You Are” mission. The committee members will also take into consideration the geographic location of the facility and will select a geographically diverse group of winners. The seven (7) nominations with the highest scores will be deemed potential winners. There is a limit of one (1) prize per nurse and healthcare facility. The odds of winning depend on the performance of each entrant.
  6. Notification and Requirements: The winning nominator will be contacted no later than a month after nominations close using the information on the Nomination Form and the nominator will need to provide the contact information for the winning nurse. Except where prohibited, a potential winner may be required to complete and return a liability/publicity release. If a potential winner fails to respond to Sponsor’s notice with the required information within the time specified in the notice, Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place based on the Judging Criteria. Only three (3) alternate potential winners may be contacted.
  7. Prizes: Each of the seven (7) winners will receive a random style and size assortment of (a) 1,428 Crocs shoes, (b) 1,428 pairs of Crocs socks, and (c) 1,428 Jibbitz. The approximate retail value of each prize is $116,327. Winners may be responsible for paying taxes on the prize. Any prize details not specified above will be determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. A prize may not be transferred prior to award. A winner may not request cash or a substitute prize; however, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the prize is not available for any reason, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. Sponsor will use best efforts to deliver the prize within a commercially reasonable amount of time. Delivery of the prize is dependent on coordination between Sponsor and winner.
  8. General Conditions: In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest; or (b) award the prizes based on the Judging Criteria from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and seek damages from any individual who tampers with the operation of the Contest, violates these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Proof of sending any communication to Sponsor by mail shall not be deemed proof of receipt of that communication. The Contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
  9. Privacy and Publicity: Any information you submit as part of the Contest will be treated in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy. By participating in this Contest, you agree to the Privacy Policy. Except where prohibited, participation in the Contest constitutes an entrant’s consent to Sponsor’s use of his/her name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information, and state of residence for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration.
  10. Release and Limitations of Liability: By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and advertising and Contest agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Contest; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Contest or the processing of posts; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property. You further agree that in any cause of action, in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorneys’ fees or other legal costs. You waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.
  11. Disputes: Except where prohibited, you agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Colorado. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Colorado, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of without or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than without.
  12. To Find out Who Won: Please send a letter to the following mailing address requesting winners of the Crocs Nurses Week 2023 Contest. Any requests must be received by June 30, 2023.
