Women’s Stretch Sole Skimmer
Item #200342

Stretch Sole is an amazingly comfortable skimmer — no other shoe flexes, stretches and fits quite like it. A stretch cord links the outsole pods together, allowing the shoe to stretch from toe to heel. Paired with the stretch canvas uppers, this shoe adapts to your foot for a very comfortable fit. And of course, it has full-on Crocs comfort inside, powered by an articulated Croslite™ foam insole. It may be the most comfortable shoe we’ve ever made — and that says a lot coming from Crocs.

Women’s Stretch Sole Skimmer details:

  • Stretch canvas uppers hug your feet
  • Articulated Croslite™ foam insole for cushion and comfort
  • Crocs Fit2U Technology™: the shoe stretches front to back for a great fit
  • Articulated outsole flexes with the motion of your foot
  • Rubber pods on toe and heel for better traction and durability

LOVE these shoes. Needed a pair of shoes to replace some Naturalizer ones that were no longer made. The only thing to beware of is that the canvas streches a little so get the size that fits you snuggly as it won't be snug for long.

One request would be to make this in a fully leather version - canvas is just so tough to keep clean.

I was crushed when I put the shoe on my wide size 10 foot. I considered returning it for a larger size but when I learned that size 10 was the largest and that it was going to cost several dollars to return, I decides to keep it. The sole is remarkably comfortable and the canvas has stretched with my wide foot over time. I wear it regularly even though it doesn't truly fit my wide foot. A centimeter or so of my outter foot doesn't have any sole support but because I refuse to take a loss on the shoes, I still wear it. In short, I do not recommend it for wide feet. I hope that one day Crocs will consider making a wider sole with the comfy cushion material of this shoe.

Way too small

Comments about Crocs Women’s Stretch Sole Skimmer:

I have some other pairs of crocs that are great, but even ordering a half size up, these are way too small in the toe box. They slip off of the heel easily, so it's really just a design issue up front. Super uncomfortable for a shoe that should be way comfortable. Such a shame, too, because I can tell they'd be comfortable in the sole and fabric if they were better designed.

I ordered size 8. I wear 8.5 in regular shoes, but since Crocs doesn't offer half sizes, they say to order 8's. These are way too small. Will be returning.

Comments about Crocs Women’s Stretch Sole Skimmer:

I ordered a half size up as recommended, but they were still too short. They fit a little too high on the top edge, just enough that they would easily rub a blister on the side of my foot. I also think they look cheap, because I could easily see the outline of my toes through the canvas, and the top of the instep gaps open. I guess these just aren't the shoe for me, so I'm returning them.

Comments about Crocs Women’s Stretch Sole Skimmer:

I don't usually write reviews. I usually ignore them when people say shoes run small (they usually fit anyway), but these really do run small. I have several pairs of crocs and have been wearing them for years, and always order an 8. This pair however was too small. So disappointed. I don't want to pay the return shipping fee, but they are just too snug to wear. My toe is at the end and it hurts my heels. The bottoms feel really nice and soft/squishy. Wish they would work. I don't want to order the next size up cause I'm afraid they won't fit right.

I want to apologize for this inconvenience. Because of the mold that our shoes are made with, we are not able to do such small increases because it causes the molding to fit incorrectly. This is why most of our shoes will not be available in half sizes.

The Stretch Sole is a Relaxed fit but does run small. You can learn more about the fits here: http://www.crocs.com/crocs-fit-guide/fit-guide-landing.html

Does the insole come out at all? Like if I wanted to wash it? Also, I usually wear a size 9. A lot of reviews are saying to order a size up? I'm worried a 10 will be too big.

The insole is glued to the shoe, but you can remove it with some gentle prying. I do recommend trying up a size, I myself wear the Stretch sole in a size up.

        A:

The Women's Stretch Sole Skimmer does not feature special slip-resistant tread. Certain Crocs shoes offer CrocsLock tread, which provides slip-resistance that exceeds industry standards. Please note that while they are slip resistant, they are not completely slip proof. Please use general caution as you would in any other shoe. You can see a collection of slip-resistant styles here: http://www.crocs.com/c/shop-by/activity/slip-resistant-shoes.

I ususally wear a size 12 in women's and in some of your sandals I get a mens 11. I was wanting to purchase the Stretch Sole Skimmer, is there a big difference in the men's vs the women's stretch sole shoe in appearance? Would I be able to get away with wearing a man's shoe?

        A:

There are a couple differences in the Men's Stretch Loafer vs. the Women's Stretch Sole Skimmer. The color options for men are more neutral, where the Women's colors are a bit more bright and colorful. I personally like the Stretch Sole Loafer in the color Navy/Pearl and I'd totally wear them if they were made in my size. I've also seen many female co-workers wearing the Men's loafers and they rock them!

        A:

Yes, this can fit a wide foot as it tends to stretch a small amount over time. You may need to go up a size for this particular style since it's in a relaxed fit. I would suggest visiting a Crocs store near you, for a more accurate sizing.

I would not suggest putting your Crocs into the washing machine, dishwasher, or dryer as this could damage them. You can hand wash these using cool water and mild soap and allow them to air dry inside.
