These are nice looking shoes with the awesome comfort that Crocs are known for, but they are "dressier" than traditional boat / deck shoes and I think they look "funny" without socks or long pants.
I have some older Leather Crocs Boat / Deck shoes that look much more like Sperry Topsiders and are ultra comfortable, plus they are open vented and are great around water or for casual dress. Why they discontinued this style I cannot imagine.
I would LOVE to find more like the original boat shoes that I bought years ago.
These new ones are good shoes but not casual deck shoes to wear with shorts...

I agree with the first reviewer these are a bit to fancy. What happened to the boat she tread on the bottom? You can't give a shoe a black soul and honesty call it a boat shoe. I would have paid much more for the original crocs boat shoe, but this just isn't a true boat shoe. If they just would have given it some time to get out they would have had the new gold standard in boat shoes,but before I could order a second pair they pulled the plug and then came back with this.

Very lightweight, doesn't have the same appearance as previous boat shoes that I loved. Doesn't seem to be as sturdy but time will tell.

Nice and light. Very comfortable. They are going to be hot in the summer. If crocs adds ventilation, they'd get a 5 Star rating.

It is a nice fitting shoe. Light weight, plenty of toe room. Have only had a week so it is too soon to see how they wear. The laces allow me to adjust the fit since my left foot is a bit larger, so the right show doesn't slip at the heel. The color was a bit of a disappointment. The picture almost looks like suede. In real life, it just seems more yellow than brown. I imagine with wear and perhaps some saddle soap or neatsfoot oil they will darken.

compared to the older style Harborline men's leather boat shoes that I own the Shaw:
1 is made of much thinner leather
2 doesn't have the st[pped durable sole
3 the footbed insert is thin and won't stand up to being wet - I put the inserts from my old ones in .
4 the ties are not leather
All and all a much cheaper looking version of an original.

I had a pair several years ago that were similar. Couldn't find another pair until this year and I love them!! I wear them all of the time and will probably buy a second pair just in case I need them someday. I live in Crocs year round. Camo flip-flops all summer, now the Shaw throughout the colder months!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
