I wanted to wait for a while before I reviewed these shoes as I have had a lot of cooks shoes that sounded great out of the box but did not live up to expectations in the long term. I purchased these in april of 2014 and it is now the end of february 2015. below are my observations. Overall they are comfortable but they do take some adjusting to , there is a small ridge that runs parallel to the base of your toes that will kind of be uncomfortable till your feet toughen up. but once broken in they are really super comfortable. the front of the shoes are made of a durable thick rubber that is spill proof and cleans easily, I just hose mine off every night after my shift and they look like new. they are very very durable , after 10 months at 40 hours a week they still look like new and the soles hardly show any signs of wear. the non slip surface of the soles is absolutely great and will stick tight to the greasiest and wettest floors however if you do not work on rubber mats they have a tendency to accumulate a thick layer of crud which can be very slippery when you hit a wet spot, I end up having to spray the soles clean at least one time a night, rubber mats seem to keep the crud scraped clean by comparison. overall for the price I feel that these are the bar none best cooks shoes I have EVER purchased all of the others fall apart after 4-6 months and are often much less comfortable to wear.

This is my third pair of Crocs and unfortunately the least comfortable I have purchased. They are inflexible, extremely tight, and narrow in spite of the fact that the listing says they're roomy. I've worn them for about 2 hours hoping they would relax a bit but no go.....If I don't wear socks they're okay but it's winter and the ones I just disposed of, 5 years old, were much more comfortable and more of a roomy fit. I have to wear these in the chicken coop because I can't get chicken poo on my good shoes so I hobble through my chores with them on. I'm almost reluctant to try another pair even of a different style because I'm concerned that the next pair also won't fit and then I'll be out the money for both pair!! ~sigh~ What a disappointment.

    Comments about Crocs Bistro:

Even though I purchased the wide shoe it feels very narrow and small for the size. The perils of buying online I suppose. If you normally wear a wide buy a size larger just for the room. I will recommend, just buy big.

    Comments about Crocs Bistro:

I have used the vented bistro for work the last 3 years.I work as a food server and they help. I bought a chef proand found that the toe box was sacrificed for the foot cushion. The Mario/s, which are no longer available in black were the best for toe box room. Please keep these available!

Yes, it is functional and dandy in that area. They are boring and ....clunky looking. If I need function (and they do this well) I would prefer to have some time while I am working.

        A:

This shoe is made of Croslite™ is a proprietary Closed Cell Resin material which is NEITHER plastic NOR rubber. Croslite material is odor resistant. It has an extraordinary impact absorbing ability developed for maximum cushioning. This style does feature special slip-resistant tread that features CrocsLock tread, which provides slip-resistance that exceeds industry standards. Please note that while they are slip resistant, they are not completely slip proof. Please use general caution as you would in any other shoe.

The shoes that are labeled as roomy fit are going to be the widest shoes that Crocs makes. Multiple styles come in the roomy fit like the Classic and the Specialist. You can learn more about the fits here: http://www.crocs.com/crocs-fit-guide/fit-guide-landing.html
