This is the best golf shoe I have owned by far. I love not having to wear socks when I play, I can slide right out of my Crocs flip-flops into these. I will have to admit you should probably bring a pair of socks for your 1st round. I did start to get irritation where the tongue connects to the shoe and I had to throw on socks after 9 holes. But after the 1-round break in they are the most comfortable shoes I own and I own them all (Puma, Adidas, FootJoys). I wear these all the time. 1 word of caution, they are very open so don't plan on wearing them on rainy muddy days. Other than that they are great.
