I bought these for my 12 month old (walking). No problems keeping them on, and she didn't trip on them either. The fur makes them run a little small, so at the end of winter we pulled the fuzz and got a few more months out of them. My only critique is that one strap seemed longer than the other and didn't stay on the heel. Probably just a minor defect in my pair. Otherwise great first pair of shoes.
