I debated on buying these "things" for my 5 year old. However she was all smiles when she opened the bag. The first time she wore them to school she had compliment after compliment about the 'things' on her feet. They are quite the conversation piece and she is proud to wear them. I would be wary if your child plays in playgrounds with woodchips. It did not mess up the shoes we just had to pick the pieces out. It was a little bit time consuming but lesson learned.
