Thompson Low Get High Marks
The look is handsome and versatile. I wear mine with shorts, jeans, or slacks--and with and without socks. They're sized a little on the small end of the spectrum so that woolly socks can make them fit a little snug. However, they generally feel very comfortable to wear--at rest and on the go. They're lightweight and flexible. Don't really know yet how durable they are, except that they seem sturdy enough for their style and materials.
Now I know why these shoes are only twenty bucks. As previous reviewers have said, the heel backing cuts into your skin, doesn't ever soften, and makes the Tidelines barely wearable with socks, even AFTER your heels heal. Don't wear these without socks or moleskin protection on the heel backing. In addition, I've always ordered my Crocs in men's size 11 to make sure my foot had space to create that Crocs sensation of conforming to my foot. These feel slightly smaller than a standard men's 10½--and adding the requisite socks, they're a tight fit.
