Specialist

Very disappointed. This shoe was described as being roomy and it was not wide or roomy. I wear a 2E width shoe and could barely get it on my foot. I gave the shoes to my daughter--n-law and they seem to be fine for her. I would like for Crocs to come up with something that is suitable for 2E width. Teachers need comfort.

I work in dialysis and own a pair of The Specialists, they have lasted well over 3 years through bleach cleanups, chemical splashes, etc. any other shoe I have tried lasts maybe 3 months. The straps broke off fairly quickly but that was expected giving the chemicals I work around, the comfort and durability is unsurpassed! The tread waves (the older model didn't have the black tread added) are finally disappearing and its time to replace them as I have slipped several times. I wish they still came in white, as the Bistro does they are also more expensive. They do run a little large, I wear a 7/7.5W in tennis shoes and the Specialist in size 6 is a perfect fit. Highly recommend this model if you're on your feet all day and need closed shoes, no 'holes' or vents in the medical field makes shopping for shoes a hard task.

I'm a doctor and I'm standing on my feet anywhere from 8-12 hours straight... I get horrible foot pain that turns into knee and lower back pain as I try to compensate. I've been searching high and low for comfortable shoes and insoles for this purpose and I've failed miserably. I finally decided to give the crocks a try and I have to say I noticed a difference immediately. They are super light weight and comfortable. The have little knobs built in to the foot bed that massage my feet as I stand on them. My only problem with this particular model, the specialist, is the exact reason I purchased them: they are a closed shoe. This is great in the OR where I want to protect my feet from splattered fluids but the problem is that they trap heat so well that my feet profusely sweat and I've gotten a bad case of tinea pedis that has been hard to treat because my feet are always moist, even with the use of powders and highly absorbant socks. I've decided that I am going to buy a new vented pair to use when I'm rounding on the floors and reserve these for the OR. Anyway, I highly recomend these to any professional who will be standing on their feet all day.

These are great for working in my yard and the sand and dirt does not get in the little holes that my other crocs have. They are a slightly stiffer material but they are still comfortable and provide more protection for my foot.
