these Crocs were designed after the traditional nursing clogs (i.e. Danskos). your heels are supposed to "slip" out. Unlike other nursing clogs, these are uber-light and my feet don't hurt at all after running around the hospital for 12 hours. They have great traction so there's no worries about slipping on wet floors. I did put gel "sports" insoles in them for more heel support. I have the $135 Danskos but I like these Crocs a lot more. My one complaint would be that since there is no ventilation with these shoes, your feet can get a little warm/sweaty.

About a year ago I was introduced to Crocs through a banner ad; it was a good sale, and I had nothing to lose. I used to wonder what people saw in them, but now I'm a Crocs convert. My new employer requires a fully enclosed shoe, so my regular Crocs wouldn't do. I was absolutely elated when I saw these shoes and couldn't wait to get them as my athletic shoes weren't working all that well after a day on my feet on cement. Imagine my disappointment when they finally arrived and I saw them--they are as cute as the picture, but the description really doesn't match the shoe. The description reads, "Enhanced arch support and footbed circulation nubs to help stimulate blood flow," but I was unable to find any footbed circulation nubs--it was really a compressed EVA mesh foot bed in black, and my feet were unable to feel the "enhanced arch support." After carefully reviewing the pictures, the pictures do appear correct, but the description needs to be rewritten to accurately reflect this shoe. Given the difference in footbed, I returned them as I didn't feel there was adequate support for my needs, although that may not be an issue for everyone. Even though I returned this pair, I'm giving it 3 stars because they're so cute--I would really like to have a pair of these shoes as they are described.

P.S. For those who have issues with the "relaxed fit," you might want to try the Neria (non-work) shoe as it has a "standard fit."

As another review stated, the heel is very low, but not quite a clog either. Does not hold secure to foot. They are amazingly comfortable, sadly had to return.

        Best Purchase Ever

        By

        from Medford, MA

        Comments about Crocs Neria Work:

Had been having severe pain in arch/heel (possible Plantar Fasciitis) in my left foot for about 6 months. Tried many alternatives which would alleviate the pain temporarily, but every day walking was very uncomfortable. My primary care physician suggested that I try Crocs. This was the best purchase I have ever made. Crocs fit and feel terrific on my foot. I love the "relaxed fit," as I have a foot that is a bit wider than "average" and a tad smaller than "wide." Best of all, I am comfortable while walking and no foot pain. Absolutely delighted to note that Crocs has a summer line of sandals, etc. Thank you.

The back is too low, keeps flopping off. Too high to be a clog. I returned them.

Love the brown ones I have worn for 2 winters. Why can't I get black ones?? Now you don't show them in black, but when you did,, I could not get my size.

not as wide in the toe box as 'regular' crocs

        By

        from Undisclosed

        Comments about Crocs Neria Work:

I have been wearing crocs for years, working in a healthcare organization. I have always loved them and found them extremely comfortable. Now that I am a nursing student, I am required to wear white shoes. These are also very comfortable for spending an entire shift standing and running around EXCEPT for the narrow(er than I'm used to with my other crocs) toe box. My poor pinky toes were a bit squeezed. Yes, I have the correct size. I wish that crocs would make more shoes with backs AND wide, spacious toe boxes.

        Same...but different

        By

        from Denver

        Comments about Crocs Neria Work:

I have had two pairs of this shoe in black and love love love them. I was so excited to see it in brown. However, the brown fits different than the black and upon closer observation, it looks a little different too. Still a really cute shoe, but I still can't wear my brown pair all day. Insert sad face here.

Most Comfortable Shoe I've Ever Owned!

        By

        from Texas

        Comments about Crocs Neria Work:

I am a nurse who works a minimum of 13 hour days with about 10 of those hours running like crazy on my feet. Tried all the expensive nursing shoes and a couple were comfortable, or so I thought, until I tried on this shoe. My feet never hurt all night long, and that is not an exaggeration! I have had both my black pair and my white pair for about a year now and neither one has lost any comfort on the inside. The outside of the shoes are well-withstanding the industrial grade antibacterial/antiviral wipes I constantly clean them with and all of the body fluids wipe off very easily and completely without damage to the outer shell of the shoe. I read reviews that this shoe was very wide and slipped off the back of your foot; these are wide but I have a wide foot and there is enough room for my compression socks to fit in them with no tightness, which I love. My heel does slightly slip up and down in the shoe as I walk; however, they do not remotely slip off and they do not rub on the back of my heel at all. These have a nonslip bottom that is incredible! I step on ALL kinds of fluids at work and have never slipped or even came close, which is very important in my line of work. These shoes do not breath and are warm to wear. I naturally am on the colder side, especially at the hospital so it is not an issue for me; however, if you run hot then it may be something to consider. I was ecstatic when they came out with the leopard print, got a pair immediately, and love them! I only wish they had more colors and prints. I will never own another work shoe again. I would recommend these shoes to anyone who works on their feet or is on their feet for long hours. I have no complaints about these shoes.

I wore them the first day ...

        By

        from Peoria, AZ

        Comments about Crocs Neria Work:

I wore them the first day without socks because they felt tight with them. So my little toes got some skin taken off...no biggie. I wear nylons now but still have to wear band aids....still can't wear socks though. They are comfortable until yesterday my front half of my feet hurt. So I switched them out. I'm on my feet all day. Walking back and forth, carrying packages or going up stairs. I'm not thrilled about them being tight with socks. Just thought maybe they would widen from the heat from my feet. Maybe they need to be given some time.

        Great Work Shoes

        By

        from Chicago, IL

        Comments about Crocs Neria Work:

The shoes are great. I had to purchase these shoes again because they were misplaced at one of my conferences. The shoe does not fit my heel. However, it is very comfortable and is great for fulfilling job duties that requires one to be on their feet for 14 plus hours. The second pair seemed to be made differently. I believe cushion was added to the shoe which made it a bit tighter. However, I still had to stick with my normal Croc size. Overall, I recommend the shoe. It seems to be the only black closed heel shoe that Croc offers.
