Women's Kosmoboot

I purchased these for a snow trip. I always struggle wish boots and sizing so I was a little apprehensive. I listened to the original suggestion to size one down (I wear a 6.5 in regular shoes) and I purchased a 6. I wore normal socks with the boots to the snow and they fit me perfectly. Very water resistant and comfortable and these look pretty decent on. I also purchased a pair for my daughter who wears a 5.5, got her a 5 and they fit her perfectly too. It's finally cold enough to wear these boots. I tried them last night on an hour long walk and they were so comfortable and warm. My feet moved around in the boot but after tightening the laces, they were nice and snug. With this mornings snow storm, I got to use them again on my way to work. They kept my feet warm but they aren't waterproof:( Walking in the slush and heavy snowfall had my feet drenched. They are a cute boot but a bit of waterproofing would have made these boots really awesome. The seemed to have dried quickly, after an hour in front of the heater so hopefuly I can keep the slush off of them on my way home from work. I would recommend this boot for cold dry weather, but not for snow which is unfortunate as it would be nice to have one pair of winter boots that work for all winter conditions.

Knowing we were going on a week-long trip to Colorado (and praying for snow) I took advantage of the Croc boot sale and bought a pair of these for myself and 2 of my 3 teenage daughters. With plantar fasciitis about the only shoes I wear are Crocs, but I figured they would be good for the girls too. Of course we couldn't test them until we got to Colorado. Our high all week long was 24 and Crocs did not disappoint. All 3 of us were warm and comfortable even through hours of daily sledding. We even wore them to walk around town and shop (again for hours). Nobody's feet hurt, nobody got cold, and everyone loves them. My ONLY complaint was that the tops were snug around my calves and being only 4'9" the boot squashed down a bit instead of going completely on as planned. But not that big of a deal.

I'm 5.5 so I ordered size 5 like the website says but the length of size 5 feels slightly too short... should have ordered size 6 like the rest of my winter boots. I got them today so I do not know about the durability or how waterproof they really are. I wore them in the house for about 1 hour and my feet were nice and toasty but like I said, if I got these at the store I would've bought a size 6 so I could wear thick socks. With size 5 I can only wear thin socks. It does look really wide but when you wear it, it is actually not as wide as it looks. My guess is that it must be the insulation material. I still think they're cute just regret following the instructions... so I would still recommend these boots but ignore the recommendation and don't size down
