Duet Scutes

Great for wearing into the shower because I cannot stand barefoot in the tub anymore....also love it because it is comfy and has heel support...I am 68 years old and will not wear anything uncomfortable anymore....Try them!

My favorite Crocs sandal was the Sobek. I hated when Crocs phased them out. The Duet Scutes are as close as anything I have tried to the Sobek, but still wish Crocs would bring back the Sobek. The Duet Scutes are good, but fit me a little loose and the arch is a little high for my feet.

They're comfortable, the color doesn't come off on my foot or sock, they're washable in the shower without absorbing water, and the price is good. The size 10 feels like a size 10 to me. I'm a 9 1/2 and when I stand in the size 10, the top doesn't touch my foot. Just how I like it (I use them indoors like slippers). The product page says "Shopping for a ½ size? Order down to the next smallest whole size. Relaxed fit" so the comments about it running small surprise me. When my foot isn't in the sandal as far as it could go, sometimes the bump between the toe and the foot feels too high. And my feet get a little warmer than with my previous sandals so I'd make the holes bigger or add more, but they're still the best sandals I've found.

I loved the original Scutes and was looking forward to trying the Duet Scutes. I have wide feet and the original Scutes fit great. Unfortunately the new Duet Scutes are too narrow and actually hurt my feet bad. After wearing them for 2-3 days my little toe started tingling and it wouldn't stop. Then I lost all feeling in that toe. I quit wearing the Duet Scutes and the feeling (mostly) has come back after about 5 days. Yikes! On the bright side, there is a newer Slide that fits great. Get yourself a pair of the Crocs Prepair Slide II sandals. They are great for wide feet and more comfortable than the original Scutes. I'm using those now as my daily wearing footwear.
