I always read reviews before I purchase, and most were on the money. Yes, the plastic is a harder type than regular crocs. I purchased a size 9 in this style as sugggested. I normally wear a size 8.5 in a shoe, but other Crocs I've purchased have been a size 8. These fit great except the back strap falls down after you walk in them for a while, but the reviews warned of that. I suffer from foot problems and although these are not as comfortable to wear without socks as the softer type, they are a nice change. The toe does not run wide and the look is very versatile. The top of the shoe is more of a dark grey. Not sure how this material will hold up compared to the other type. I would consider purchasing another pair of these if they offered more colors.

I LOVE these shoes! My only problem is there isn't more colors to choose from! I'm not crazy about flats so the small heel is perfect!

I own several pairs of Crocs. I thought I would get a more "feminine" pair. Of course, most of those styles don't come in my size (12). I thought I would try these since my left foot is an 11 and my right foot is 11-1/4!. Well, they don't fit my right foot properly. That's my own fault I guess. I always wear socks and foot lotion. I don't know if this is why; but the shoes are gradually turning a darkish purple stain, on the top where my foot actually contacts them. This doesn't happen with my other Crocs, so I don't know what is causing it. I'll try cleaning them with Magic Erasers. Back strap constantly falls off my freakishly narrow ankles; but that's probably just me, they would probably be fine on a normal person.
