Athens

I was disappointed with the Athens even though I have loved my first Crocs purchased several years ago. My first objection is the horrific odor. I've had the shoes outside on my lanai for a week to out-gas and I still can't tolerate the smell. I ordered the Athens and Mercy Work at the same time and both can't yet be worn due to the horrific and noxious odor. My second objection is that the toe thong has ribs rather than being smooth and round. This is causing discomfort for me. The walking platform is very comfortable as one would expect from Crocs. Per the recommendation on the website, I ordered a 10 because there isn't half sizing for a 9 1/2. They are very large and I would recommend ordering down a half size rather than up. I believe these shoes will be returned for refund.

I recently when on a cruise to the Bahamas and needed a pair for the ship to walk around in. I love they way they hug my feet and the very cushioning sole. A little slick on my feet, but the clear coat wears off. But in all a good buy.

I bought a pair of Athens for my trip to Kauai. I took an unexpected trek through a stream, up and downhill jungle area and over rocks to get to beautiful Wailua Falls. These "rubba slippas" held up PERFECTLY! Thanks Crocs!

Have been wearing Athens for about a year now, and just love them! So much, I had to get a new pair to have at the ready when the old pair wears out. My husband loves them too - the only footwear he wears 10 months of the year!
